{mosads}At Covington, Breuer developed a reputation as a hard-nosed, high-profile defender in white-collar crime. He was part of retired baseball pitcher Roger Clemens’ defense team as the sports star dealt with allegations of steroid use.
Breuer also has worked in the White House as special counsel to President Clinton, helping to handle Clinton’s impeachment trial and several congressional investigations.
Covington has also expanded its lobbying team recently, hiring former Rep. Howard Berman (D-Calif.) and ex-Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.).
