Donald Trump accused Hillary Clinton of wanting to increase regulations in a feisty exchange during their first presidential debate Monday night.
“You have regulations on top of regulations and new companies cannot form,” the GOP candidate said. “And you want to increase regulations and make them even worse.”
{mosads}Moderator Lester Holt tried to change topics, but Clinton protested.
“That can’t be left to stand,” she said. “I assumed there would be all these charges and claims.”
Trump interrupted, calling them “facts.”
Clinton then directed viewers to the homepage of her website, which she said has been turned into a fact checker for the debate.
“I would not add a penny to the debt,” the Democratic nominee said. “What I proposed would cut regulations and streamline them for small businesses.”
