LPL Financial hires former regulator to lead lobby team
{mosads}Mark Casady, LPL Financial’s chairman and chief executive, credits Bergers with having “successfully transformed both the enforcement and examination programs at the SEC,” he said in a statement.
“We are fortunate to have someone of David’s caliber and expertise in regulatory and other matters” on the company’s government affairs team.
Federal records show that LPL Financial Corporation currently spends a modest amount on lobbying the federal government, giving only $240,000 to one firm last year, Rich Feuer Anderson.
Before entering the public sector, Bergers worked at law firms in Philadelphia and Boston, and held senior positions at other broker-dealer and investment advisory firms.
