Monday’s meeting announcements: Plant breeding, medical devices and bankruptcy rules
The Office of the Chief Scientist of the Department of Agriculture will hold a plant breeding listening session to give an update on the USDA’s breeding portfolio and take feedback from interested parties. The Meeting will take place Aug. 15 in Washington, D.C.
The New Hampshire Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights will hold an orientation and project-planning meeting Aug. 12 in Washington, D.C.
The Energy Department’s Environmental Management Site-Specific Advisory Board will meet on Aug. 15 in Paducah, Ky., to make recommendations in the areas of environmental restoration, waste management and related activities.
The Food and Drug Administration will hold a public workshop entitled, “The Patient Preference Initiative: Incorporating Patient Preference Information into the Medical Device Regulatory Processes” Sept. 18 and 19, in Silver Spring, Md.
The purpose of the workshop is to discuss ways to give patients a say in rulemaking decisions involving medical devices.
The USDA’s Flathead Resource Advisory Committee will meet on multiple dates in Kalispell, Mont., to make recommendations for projects in the area. The meetings will be held every Tuesday between Aug. 27 and Sept. 24.
Members of the public can attend — but not participate in — a two-day meeting of the Judicial Conference of The United States Advisory Committee on Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. The meeting will take place Sept. 24 and 25 in Minneapolis.
