Thursday’s meeting announcements: EPA talks education

{mosads}An Energy Department working group on commercial heating and air conditioning certification is holding meetings on Aug, 28 and Sept, 11 and 12 in Washington. 

An Energy Department panel for the Hanford nuclear site is meeting in Richland, Wash., on Sept. 5 and 6. 

On Sept. 10, an Energy Department board for northern New Mexico is getting together in the town of Pojoaque to hear from state officials and review work plans. 

The Energy Department’s advisory council for Tennessee’s Oak Ridge reservation is holding a meeting on Sept. 11. 

The Labor Department’s Committee on Apprenticeship is meeting on Sept. 17 and 19 to discuss the ways veterans and women participate in the programs, as well as other issues. 

The Census Bureau’s Scientific Advisory Committee will meet on Sept. 19 and 20 in Suitland, Md., to review the bureau’s planning, research and policies. 

On Sept. 25, the Department of Energy’s advisory committee for northern New Mexico is meeting in the town of Taos. 

On Oct. 22, the Surface Transportation Board is holding a hearing in Washington to review a petition from the National Industrial Transportation League, an association of freight shippers.  

The EPA is holding a meeting to discuss pesticides on Oct. 29. 

The Judicial Conference of the U.S., which sets policies for the administration of courts, is holding meetings on Nov. 7 and in the new year.
