Wednesday’s meeting announcements: Safety commission talks cradle rules

The council for New England fisheries is holding a meeting on Sept. 5 in Newburyport, Mass. 

From Sept. 8 to 13, the Federal Aviation Administration is hosting a meeting with European officials to discuss aeronautics databases in Dublin.

On Sept. 9, regulators will discuss whiting fishing in New England at a meeting in Warwick, R.I. 

An advisory committee on airport security control systems is meeting in Washington on Sept. 9. 

Also on Sept. 9, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will hold a meeting for its advisory committee on climate assessment and development. 

On Sept. 9 and 10, the National Marine Fisheries Service will hold hearings in Wilmington and Morehead City, N.C., on proposed protected habitat for a type of sea turtle. 

An aviation advisory panel on navigation performance standards is holding a meeting from Sept. 9-13. 

Teams for fishing in Alaska and the northern Pacific will meet in Seattle, Wash., on Sept. 10-13. 

The personnel advisory committee for the Merchant Marines is meeting on Sept. 11 and 12 in Linthicum Heights, Md. 

Also on Sept. 11 and 12, the Pentagon is hosting a meeting of its scientific advisory board for a environmental research and development program in Arlington, Va. 

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s committee for regulatory policies and practices will meet on Sept. 16 on Rockville, 

The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention’s board of scientific counselors for occupational safety and health will meet on Sept. 18 to discuss issues associated with hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, and other matters. 

Also on September 18, the Forest Service’s advisory panel for Shasta County, Calif., is meeting in the town of Redding. 

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s advisory panel on Fukushima is also meeting on Sept. 18. 

The Education Department’s advisory committee on student financial aid is meeting on Sept. 19. 

Also on Sept. 19, the Federal Communications Commission’s advisory panel for an international radio conference is meeting to discuss ways to prepare for the event.

From Sept. 23 to 27, the Federal Aviation Administration is holding a meeting of its private industry advisory panel in Chicago, Ill. 

The U.S. International Trade Commission is holding a public hearing in Moffett Field, Calif., on Sept. 25 to discuss digital trade. 

NASA is holding a conference on Sept. 30 in Houston, Texas, to review the agency’s planning for its asteroid initiative. 

On Oct. 3 and 4, the Departments of Agriculture and Health and Human Services will host a meeting of the federal advisory panel on dietary guidelines in Bethesda, Md. 

The Food and Drug Administration is holding a workshop on Oct. 4 to discuss orphan drug programs in the U.S. and Europe. 

The Department of Health and Human Services is holding meetings on Oct. 7 and 8 to review a draft report on the carcinogenic properties of new substances. 

On Oct. 8, the International Trade Commission is holding a hearing to review trade barriers for small and medium U.S. companies that try to export to Europe.
