Tricare:
The Pentagon proposed the same rule twice, so is taking action to correct the mistake.

After publishing a proposed change to its Tricare healthcare program last week, the department “discovered that an identical proposed rule [was] published in the Federal Register on Friday, June 7, 2013,” it said.

To fix the error, the Defense Department is withdrawing the second proposal. 

Nuclear fuel:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is rescinding orders for the transportation of spent nuclear fuel that have since been incorporated into a formal rule. 

Food:

The Food and Drug Administration will prepare an environmental impact statement for a proposed rule on standards for growing and shipping produce.

Highway advisories:

The Federal Communications Commission is amending its rules for highway advisory radio stations, also known as travelers’ information stations.

The updates include a series of clarifications, definitions and a partial removal of prohibitions on operating multiple simulcast transmitters. 

The commission is also proposing to delete rules that require some station frequencies to be filtered. 

Freedom of Information Act:

The federal commission for planning around the Washington region wants to update its rules to process requests under the Freedom of Information Act. 

Fishing:

The National Marine Fisheries Service is increasing the daily retention limit for Atlantic bluefin tuna for the rest of the year. 

The agency is also modifying rules for six salmon fisheries in the Pacific.
