Pentagon publishes same proposal twice

{mosads}“Subsequent to the publication of the proposed rule in the Federal Register, DoD discovered that an identical proposed rule [was] published in the Federal Register on Friday, June 7, 2013,” the department writes in a notice to be published  Monday.

As such, the department will withdraw the August draft and run with the first one.

The Pentagon’s proposed rule would waive increases to annual enrollment fees for Tricare Prime, its managed care option, for survivors of active deceased sponsors and medically retired uniformed service members and their dependents currently enrolled.

For those participants, the annual enrollment fees will stay at their current rate of $269.38 per person or $538.56 per family.

The annual fee increases every year to account for cost-of-living adjustments and other indexing.

Between 2012 and 2013, it went up by 3.6 percent.
