New regs for Monday: Rules for arms brokers

Disposable and novelty lighters have stronger regulations thanks to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The new rules extend existing standards to more lighters, and are meant to ensure that the lighters are child resistant.

ObamaCare:

The Internal Revenue Service is proposing rules for a tax credit for some small businesses that offer their employees health insurance, as called for by the Affordable Care Act.

Postal:

The Postal Regulatory Commission is adopting new rules for price adjustments. 

Fishing:

National fishing regulations are reallocating some Pacific cod quotas that would otherwise not be met. 

Communications:

The White House has approved the Federal Communications Commission’s efforts to collect information.
