White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is slated to hold the daily press briefing Wednesday. Jean-Pierre will be joined by Neera Tanden, domestic policy adviser; John Podesta, senior adviser to the president for clean energy innovation; and Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Deanne Criswell.

The briefing comes as the White House celebrates the first anniversary of the signing of the Inflation Reduction Act. 

On Wednesday, the White House also announced President Biden will travel to Maui next week to meet with first responders and tour damage from catastrophic wildfires on the Hawaii island.

The White House news conference is scheduled to begin at 12:15 p.m. EDT.
