Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is slated to deliver remarks Tuesday at the United Nations 78th General Assembly in New York.

Following his visit to the U.N., Zelensky will also make a stop in Washington as the Biden administration pushes for Congress to approve $24 billion in additional funding for Ukraine in its war effort against Russia.

Zelensky is expected to meet with Democrats and Republicans, seeking to convince skeptical lawmakers that they should back additional humanitarian and military aid, even as some leading GOP voices have pushed back on continued support for Ukraine.

The event is scheduled to begin 10 a.m. EDT.
