White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is delivering a daily press briefing Monday afternoon.
President Biden signed a budget stopgap measure over the weekend to keep the federal government from shutting down. The president praised Congress for advancing the measure but chided House GOP members for what he called a “manufactured crisis.”
The stopgap funding will last through Nov. 17. It does not include funding for Ukraine’s defense, one of Biden’s priorities that has been increasingly questioned by House Republicans. Biden urged Congress to continue to support Ukraine.
The briefing is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET.
