Mayorkas, Becerra testify before Senate Appropriations Committee: Watch live

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra and Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas are appearing before the Senate Appropriations Committee Wednesday morning. The committee will confer with the secretaries regarding supplemental budgets requested by President Biden for their respective departments.

The Senate as a whole has been much faster than the House to find bipartisan consensus on recent budget votes, last week passing 2024 funding measures to cover the departments of Veterans Affairs, Transportation and Housing and Urban Development.

The hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. EST.
