President Biden is speaking Friday in Las Vegas to tout several passenger rail projects funded through the bipartisan infrastructure law.
The projects include a high-speed service between Las Vegas and suburban Los Angeles, which those involved hope to open in time for the 2028 Olympics in L.A.
In all, $30 billion of the available $66 billion in funding for rail from the infrastructure law will be allotted for projects as of Friday.
Biden is expected to speak at 5:45 p.m. EST.
