Trump courts Hawkeye voters with less than 2 weeks to Iowa caucuses: Watch live
Former President Trump is set to give remarks Friday in Iowa, less than two weeks before the state’s caucuses kick off the 2024 primary voting season.
Trump will hold two separate “Commit to Caucus” rallies on Friday evening. The first will be in Sioux Center at 5 p.m. EST and the second event will take place in Mason City at 8:30 p.m. EST.
The former president remains the clear party front-runner, with The Hill/Decision Desk HQ polling averages showing him leading the field in Iowa with 51.6 percent support. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley trail at 18 percent and 17.1 percent, respectively.
Trump, DeSantis and Haley were also the only three candidates to qualify for CNN’s Republican primary debate in the Hawkeye State next week.
However, similar to the debates sanctioned by the Republican National Committee last year, the former president has opted to sit out. Instead, he is expected to participate in a Fox News town hall starting at the same time.
