Former President Trump will continue his campaign blitz in New Hampshire on Saturday, as Granite State voters prepare to cast their ballots in the first-in-the-nation primary next week.

Trump will travel to Manchester, N.H., on a high note, after receiving a coveted endorsement from Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) during a campaign stop in the state’s capital city Friday.

His chief rival in the state, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, only trails Trump by 11.4 percent, according to the latest polling average from The Hill/Decision Desk HQ.

Both candidates had reason to believe Scott would back them. Haley’s allies, including New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu, took swipes at Scott following his announcement.

Trump, who is expected to be joined by House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), will speak at 7 p.m. EST.

Stefanik has been floated as a potential running mate for the former president in November. Haley’s name had also come up, but both candidates seemingly quashed the notion Friday.
