White House holds press briefing: Watch live
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will deliver the daily press briefing Wednesday afternoon.
President Biden earlier Wednesday announced he was going in for his annual physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Biden’s health and age have been under public scrutiny following the release of special counsel Robert Hur’s report earlier this month that centered on the president’s mishandling of classified documents. In his report, Hur branded Biden as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
The White House has contested that interpretation.
The briefing is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EST.
