Watch: VP Harris speaks at 100 Black Men of America event
Vice President Harris spoke in Atlanta Friday at the annual conference of the mentoring organization 100 Black Men of America Inc. The visit is part of ongoing events for Harris that the White House is calling the Economic Opportunity Tour. Atlanta is the first stop on the tour, reflecting Georgia’s importance for the electoral count in November.
Harris has become a leading campaign surrogate in President Biden’s outreach to the Black community. That demographic might make a big difference in Georgia, where the president is currently just short of a tie with former President Trump in the polls.
