Watch live: Biden gives remarks at NAACP convention, attends economic forum

President Biden is making two campaign appearances in Las Vegas Tuesday, as he works to regain public confidence after several tumultuous weeks. The events are Biden’s first campaign stops since Saturday’s assassination attempt on former President Trump.

First, Biden will address the 115th national convention of the NAACP. Biden’s speech before the influential organization, founded in 1909 to advocate for Black Americans and considered the nation’s largest civil rights group,

Following his speech, Biden will participate with Congressional Black Caucus chairman Rep. Steven Horsford (D-Nev.) in an economic forum hosted by the Vote to Live Action Fund.

Nevada is one of seven swing states, so the impression Biden makes with Las Vegas area voters could be a crucial factor in the 2024 race.

The president is scheduled to speak at 4 p.m. EDT, and the economic forum is slated to begin at 6:45 p.m. EDT.
