Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly (D) is considered among the top candidates to be Vice President Harris’s running mate, underscoring how importantly both sides see the state.
Vance himself has been under heavy scrutiny for 2021 remarks unearthed since he became the GOP vice presidential candidate. In the remarks, Vance spoke negatively about “cat ladies” and people without children.
