Vice President Harris is slated to deliver remarks on the economy Friday during a campaign event in Raleigh, N.C.
Harris’s event will be a policy-focused rally where she will discuss her plan to lower costs for middle-class families and take on corporate price-gouging.
The vice president said during a rally in Las Vegas on Saturday that, if elected president, she would support ending taxes on tipping, which is a policy initiative that has become popular with former President Trump on the campaign trail. That proposal could cost up to $200 billion over a decade, a budget watchdog estimated.
The Friday trip will mark Harris’s eighth visit to North Carolina this year. She canceled a trip to the state last week because of Tropical Storm Debby.
The event is scheduled to begin at 2:45 p.m. EDT.
