Watch live: Authorities to hold press conference after reports of shooting near Trump

Authorities will be briefing the media Sunday after reports of gunshots near a Palm Beach County golf course in Florida where former President Trump was playing.

The Trump campaign said the former president is safe.

“President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details at this time,” Trump communications director Steven Cheung said in a statement.

Both President Biden and Vice President Harris were briefed Sunday about the incident at Trump International Golf Course, according to a White House pool report.

Trump was playing golf at the course at the time of the incident, the pool report said.

The incident comes nearly two months after Trump was shot in an attempted assassination at a campaign rally in July.
