Watch: Tim Walz campaigns in Arizona as early voting begins

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, is making a campaign swing through Arizona on Wednesday as early voting in the critical swing state begins.

Walz will start in Chandler — a city southeast of Phoenix — with a campaign event alongside Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.). Gallego, who is running for Senate, is set to debate his GOP rival Kari Lake on Wednesday evening.

Later, the Minnesota governor will travel to Phoenix and Tucson. His Republican counterpart, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), will also be in the Grand Canyon State on Wednesday.

The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s polling index shows former President Trump slightly ahead of Vice President Harris in the state, with 48.7 percent support compared to her 47.9 percent.

The event in Chandler is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EDT.
