Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), former President Trump’s running mate, is hosted a town hall Thursday in North Carolina.
During the campaign event, Vance was expected to target the Biden-Harris administration on inflation, immigration and the federal response to Hurricane Helene, according to the campaign release. The visit comes on the heels of devastation left by Helene in the critical battleground state, which caused new hurdles for voters and election officials.
Trump traveled to North Carolina last week to tour the damage.
The campaign also announced that former race car driver Danica Patrick would be the special guest moderator at the event.
The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls shows Trump leading Vice President Harris in the Tar Heel State by less than 1 point — 49.3 percent support to 48.6 percent.
The town hall was expected to begin at 6 p.m. EDT in Greensboro, N.C.
