Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) participated in a town hall Tuesday evening in battleground Pennsylvania alongside conservative nonprofit Moms for America.
The event in Philadelphia, labeled as MomVote, was centered on women voters — primarily mothers — and how Vance, and his running mate former President Trump, will tackle issues most important to them, including inflation, crime, border security and women’s sports, according to a news release.
With the 2024 campaign cycle entering its final stretch, Trump and his Democratic rival Vice President Harris have sought to reach men and women voters independently. Polling shows Harris ahead with women, but the former president has the advantage among men.
The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s polling aggregate shows the party nominees locked in a tight race in the Keystone state and nationally.
The town hall was scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. EDT.
