Watch: Trump courts Latino voters at roundtable in Florida
Former President Trump on Tuesday hosted a roundtable at his golf club in the Miami area focused on reaching Latino voters.
The event came just under a week after Trump participated in a town hall with Univision, where he detailed his plans to crack down on immigration and was asked about his conspiratorial rhetoric around Haitian migrants and his plans for the border and the economy.
Recent polling shows Trump trailing his Democratic rival, Vice President Harris, among Hispanic voters in battleground states.
With just two weeks until Election Day, the race remains tight, according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls. Harris is edging the former president nationally by just over 1 point — 49 percent to 47.8 percent
The former president will also give remarks from Greensboro, N.C., later Tuesday.
The event in Doral, Fla., was scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. EDT.
