Former President Obama ramped up his campaigning for Vice President Harris in the battleground state of Michigan on Tuesday evening.
His remarks from Detroit came as early voting was underway in the city. Democrats are hoping Obama will help move the needle in the tight race, now just two weeks shy of Election Day.
Next week, Harris is expected to be joined in the Great Lakes State by former first lady Michelle Obama.
The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls in the Great Lakes State shows Trump with a narrow lead over the Democratic nominee — with 48.5 percent support to her 47.6 percent.
Obama also gave remarks in “blue wall” Wisconsin alongside Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), Harris’s running mate, earlier Tuesday.
The event in Motor City was scheduled to begin at 7:45 p.m. EDT.
