Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) says it was a mistake for President Trump to make Michael Flynn his national security adviser.

{mosads}”I’m not really interested in relitigating the Flynn hiring decision. In hindsight, it was a mistake. I mean, the guy got fired,” Kennedy told reporters on his way to a Judiciary Committee hearing featuring former acting Attorney General Sally Yates.

Just weeks after taking over the White House, Trump fired Flynn, also a top adviser during the presidential campaign, for misleading Vice President Pence and other officials about his conversations with the Russian ambassador.
