Web ad: Now Republicans care about health reform? Bulls–t

Liberal advocacy group Americans United for Change released a Web ad on Friday calling out Republicans for what they said is a hypocritical reaction to the problems plaguing the ObamaCare website.

{mosads}“After 46 votes to repeal or dismantle the Affordable Care Act, 16 votes to shutdown the government to keep healthcare reform from going into effect, saying it will ‘literally kill’ people, it’s ‘the most dangerous piece of legislation ever passed in Congress,’ and it’s ‘one of the most insidious laws ever created by man,’ after four years of trying tooth and nail to try and kill it – now Republicans want healthcare reform to work?” the ad asks.

“Bulls–t,” the ad continues. “The Republican Party: Concerned about your healthcare since … never.”

Some Democrats have accused Republicans of shedding “crocodile tears” over consumers having trouble navigating the ObamaCare website.

Rep. Elijah Cummings (Md.), the ranking Democrat on the Oversight Committee, has said “it is difficult to take seriously” Republican concerns after they’ve sought to “prevent these same consumers from getting access to affordable, quality health insurance.”
