Conservative ad touts O-Care opposition
A conservative nonprofit is launching a new ad tying Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and touting their opposition to ObamaCare.
The ad, from Kentucky Opportunity Coalition, is backed by a $382,000 buy and will run for a week across the state.
“For Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul, fighting ObamaCare isn’t about politics. It’s a fight for the Kentucky families who are losing their health coverage,” the ad says.
{mosads}It adds that the two are “working together to stop ObamaCare.”
The spot gives McConnell some cover on his right flank, where he faces a challenge from conservative Matt Bevin, by aligning him with Tea Party favorite Paul.
And it emphasizes his opposition to a widely unpopular law, one that’s given Democrats a political headache with a rocky rollout in recent weeks.
