DeSantis: ACA fix ‘unconstitutional’

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla) introduced a resolution Wednesday that says President Obama is violating the Constitution by implementing his own “fix” to ObamaCare.

Last week, Obama announced the administration would allow insurance companies to offer policies that would have been canceled under ObamaCare for one more year.

{mosads}“My bill is basically the House is going to express its disapproval about that. So we are on record as saying, we don’t think that is constitutional,” DeSantis said on Fox News’s “Kelly File” Wednesday night.

DeSantis argues Obama has usurped Congress’s authority to approve such changes in laws.

“We in Congress have got to make our voice heard. And my hope is that some of my friends in the other party will put the constitutional duties they have above their partisan self-interest and join with me to tell the president that he can’t rewrite laws,” he added.
