Capitol Christmas tree arrives
It’s not yet Thanksgiving, but it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Capitol.
Workers were seen hauling the official Capitol Christmas tree as it arrived at its holiday destination on Monday.
Organizers say the tree, an Engelmann spruce from Washington state, will be decorated with thousands of ornaments meant to reflect this year’s theme, “Sharing Washington’s good nature.”
Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) will light the towering tree in a public ceremony on the West Front lawn on Dec. 3.
