WATCH LIVE: Obama press conference
President Obama will hold an end-of-the-year press conference at 2 p.m. on Friday, the White House announced.
Obama will hold the news conference hours before departing for a two-week holiday vacation in Hawaii.
{mosads}The press briefing comes at the end of a particularly rough year for Obama.
The president is likely to be asked about many of the debacles his White House has faced in recent weeks and months, including the announcement late Thursday that his administration would relax the rules of the healthcare law for millions of Americans whose insurance has been canceled.
He is also expected to be asked about the fallout of the Edward Snowden affair and the National Security Agency disclosures. Obama might also face questions pertaining to foreign policy from Iran to Syria as well as the perceived snub during next year’s Olympics.
