Greta shows off singing talent for The Hill
Greta Van Susteren is willing to belt out a tune on a karaoke stag, as long as her venue happens to be in North Korea.
{mosads}The host of Fox News Channel’s “On the Record” brought former “American Idol” contestant Katharine McPhee as her guest to The Hill’s White House Correspondents’ Association dinner pre-party on Friday and said, “I was telling Katharine I’m a little bit of a singer. I performed once. I did karaoke in Pyongyang, North Korea.”
She then explained, “The only reason I did karaoke in Pyongyang, North Korea, is I always wanted to be able to say, if anyone ever said to me, ‘Did you ever do karaoke?’ I could say, ‘Only once, in North Korea.’ “
There’s apparently even videotape evidence of the 59-year-old host exercising her vocal chords while singing an Elvis Presley song. “You think we didn’t videotape that?” exclaimed Van Susteren. “I’m going to show it on my last night on my show because I’m sure we’d be fired after that.”
McPhee said she had already been treated to some serenading on the way to The Hill’s soiree at the Canadian Embassy: “She’s trying a little bit in the limo here. She was singing for me.”
