Rep. Garcia picks ear, eats it

Rep. Joe Garcia (D-Fla.) just upped the “ewww” factor in Congress, after he was caught on camera picking at his ear and then repeatedly biting at the same digit that went into the depths of his hearing mechanism.

{mosads}Video captured by C-SPAN’s cameras last Wednesday at a House Judiciary Committee hearing shows the Florida Democrat’s rather icky move, as he sits beside Rep. Suzan DelBene (D-Wash.).

The blogosphere appeared to go gaga over the 50-year-old Garcia’s gross-out move. Among the headlines detailing the yucky deed: “This GIF Will Simultaneously Gross You Out and Make You Fear For Our Country’s Future” and “Digging for Lost Treasure, Congressman?”
