GOP pollster: Roberts can save Senate seat

A well-respected GOP pollster predicts that embattled incumbent GOP Sen. Pat Roberts still has a chance to retain his Kansas seat.

“Given how incredibly Republican that state is and how anti-Obama …  I think you have to … believe that [Roberts] has a serious chance to win that state,”  Bill McInturff tells The Hill in a one-on-one interview.

{mosads}McInturff, co-founder and partner of polling firm Public Opinion Strategies, notes that Sen. Roberts has had weeks to attack Independent Greg Orman, as “a Democrat in kind of sheep’s clothing.” Those efforts are on the brink of affecting polling in the Senate contest.

Watch out for The Hill’s in-depth interview with McInturff to be posted later this week.
