NRCC chief eyes another run
The House GOP campaign arm’s chief wants to hold on to his title as Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) in the 2016 election.
Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore.) tells The Hill that he’s running for reelection as NRCC chairman despite rumblings that he may have competition for the job.
{mosads}“I think I’ve kept my focus and our team has [kept] their focus despite all the noise that other people may be running for this. What mattered most to us was keeping our eye on the ball, continuing to raise money, continuing to effectively spend it so that we could pick up seats,” Walden said shortly after learning that House Republicans picked up 10 additional seats Tuesday night.
