Inside the ‘Boehner Brine’

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) might have a lot on his plate when Congress returns next week, but he took some time to talk about what will be on his plate Thursday for Thanksgiving.

{mosads}In a video posted to his YouTube account Tuesday, Boehner gave viewers an inside look on how he prepares his Thanksgiving meal, and more specifically, how he brines the turkey.

Boehner said it took him five years to perfect brining a turkey after finding a recipe online.

The Speaker outlines every ingredient in the video, and calls 16 ounces of pure maple syrup “the real secret ingredient.”
