Blackburn not running for White House in 2016
Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) says she’s not running for president in 2016.
Asked if she was thinking about a White House bid, Blackburn told The Hill: “Not at all.”
{mosads}The Tennessee Republican stirred up talk of a possible White House run when she addressed a crowd of conservatives gathered in Iowa last weekend.
But Blackburn said she was just in Iowa because she is the “chief mama in charge of new ideas.”
Blackburn joined a long list of potential GOP presidential contenders who spoke to at the event, sponsored by Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) and Citizens United, in the nation’s first presidential caucus state.
Blackburn also talked to The Hill about some of the other speakers in Iowa.
