Obama: ‘No god condones terror’
President Obama dedicated a portion of his National Prayer Breakfast speech Thursday morning to condemning the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) for conducting barbarity in the name of religion.
{mosads}After video surfaced that confirmed the terrorist group burned to death a captured Jordanian pilot, Obama said no faith advocates the use of violence.
“No god condones terror,” he said. “No grievance justifies the taking of innocent lives or the oppression of those who are weaker or fewer in number.”
Jordan’s King Abdullah II was originally scheduled to attend the breakfast before the latest ISIS video was released.
