WATCH: Obama’s ‘selfie stick’ outtakes
It took a few takes for President Obama to get his lines right in the “selfie stick” video, which has now been viewed online more than 22 million times.
In a brief clip of outtakes released by the White House, Obama is seen attempting to perfect his delivery for the HealthCare.gov promotional video.
{mosads}“I’m trying to figure out how to mispronounce February,” Obama tells the camera during one behind-the-scenes clip in which he’s reciting a line about the sign-up deadline for the health insurance website.
“Let me say it 10 times to really get it to seem like it’s weird,” Obama says, for a scene in which he’s supposed to look like he’s doing a few takes in front of the mirror of his pitch.
“Now I’m forgetting how you actually say February,” the commander in chief says to laughs from the film crew.
Obama gets goofy in the video, which also shows him using a selfie stick to snap a photo, sticking out his tongue and quipping “Thanks, Obama,” when he’s unable to dunk an oversized chocolate chip cookie in milk.
The full video was posted Thursday on BuzzFeed, and has become something of a sensation online.
