Lawmakers battle in cook-off at March of Dimes gala

Democrats and Republicans came together at the March of Dimes Gourmet Gala to help raise money and awareness for the prevention of premature births in the United States.

{mosads}Lawmakers competed against one another in a cook-off judged by celebrity chefs. Attendees enjoyed bite-sized dishes — mini beef wellingtons, hot crawfish dip, Bavarian apple tart and plenty more — and there was no shortage of sweet and savory treats.

This year marked the gala’s 33rd anniversary. It is slated to raise more than $850,000 dollars for the organization.
