Florida rep: Why I endorsed Jeb Bush
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) tells The Hill she’s backing her former campaign manager, Jeb Bush, in the 2016 race for the White House.
Ros-Lehtinen admits to The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper that the choice was “tough” between the Sunshine State’s GOP presidential contenders, the former governor and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).
{mosads}”I prefer Jeb because of his experience. Jeb was my first campaign architect for my first race, he was the campaign chairman. And Marco was one of my first interns when I got to Congress,” said Ros-Lehtinen, who first took office in 1989. “It’s a difficult choice, I love them both, but I love Jeb a little bit more.”
