Hillary voices ‘disdain’ for Confederate flag usage
Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton broached racism and the Confederate flag during her meeting Tuesday with the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), according to a leading Democrat.
{mosads}”We didn’t have time to get into all the issues that we care about — we dealt with the criminal justice reform, we dealt with racism growing out of the Charleston massacre,” CBC Chairman G.K. Butterfield (D-N.C.) told The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper following Clinton’s nearly hour-long private meeting with the caucus.
“We talked about the Confederate flag, and she expressed her disdain for the improper use of the Confederate battle flag and she pledged to us that she will continue to try to heal the damage,” Butterfield said.
