Abortion video ‘sickening,’ says lawmaker
The House Energy and Commerce Committee is likely to investigate the “market” for selling “body parts,” after a “sickening” undercover video of a Planned Parenthood official, according to Rep. Joe Pitts (R-Pa.).
{mosads}Pitts, the chairman of the Energy and Commerce health subcommittee, said the video was “shocking, and then to see this Planned Parenthood official so cavalierly drinking her red wine and eating her tossed salad, as she discussed … the daily meeting with staff to decide what kind of procedure should we do to get the most fresh body parts.”
Pitts told The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper that he is certain that his colleague, Energy and Commerce oversight Chairman Tim Murphy (R-Pa.), will investigate the “market that has been developed in the sale of body parts.”
