Trump settles ‘Is Flacco elite?’ question

GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump on Monday finally laid to rest a burning question for many sports fans: Is Joe Flacco an elite quarterback?

Trump says the Baltimore Ravens signal caller is among the NFL’s greatest, without a doubt.

{mosads}The question, much debated in the sports realm, gained national attention during the GOP debate when a man held a sign asking that question in the background of MSNBC’s “Hardball” broadcast in Cleveland.

“I think Joe Flacco is actually a very elite quarterback,” Trump said during a question and answer session on his Twitter account. “He won a Super Bowl, he did it really to a certain extent with that great arm of his. I would say absolutely, he is an elite quarterback.”

There you have it, it’s settled.

Flacco has thrown for more than 26,000 yards and 150 touchdowns in his career, and led the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.
