Pot industry gets boost in spending bill
The legal marijuana industry can breathe easier for the next year if Congress passes the $1.1 trillion omnibus funding bill, which bans spending to enforce federal marijuana laws in states with legal medical use.
Oregon Democratic Rep. Earl Blumenauer, whose state has legalized recreational pot, discusses the provisions with The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper, following a speech he gave at the inaugural High Times Business summit in D.C. on the state of federal marijuana policy.
