Obama’s gun plan outrages GOP
Republicans in Congress are blasting President Obama’s announcement Tuesday of new executive actions intended to curb gun violence.
{mosads}GOP lawmakers promised to heavily scrutinize the new rules, with some threatening to withhold funds for the Department of Justice that could be used to implement them.
Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas), who heads a subpanel that provides funding for the Justice Department, warned he would restrict access to money if Attorney General Loretta Lynch went beyond her powers in implementing the new rules.
