WATCH: Dems conflicted over Wasserman Schultz’s future

The ground debate within the Democratic Party over whether to drop Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is “disconcerting,” a party strategist says.

“The only way we’re going to be able to rally is with full support of Sen. Sanders, and even then I don’t think all of his supporters are going to support the eventual Democratic nominee,” Jim Manley told The Hill.

{mosads}“There’s a dynamic that’s building up thats going to be really unhealthy for the party from here on out,” he added.

Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.), a superdelegate who is supporting Bernie Sanders in his presidential bid, said he does not think Wasserman Schultz should step down from DNC leadership.

However, Grayson added that the “D.C. establishment has been hard up against Bernie right from the start, and it’s manifested all through the campaign up to and including Sen. [Harry] Reid saying to Sen. Sanders weeks ago he should get out of race.”
