WATCH: Top GOP and Dem insiders differ on WikiLeaks impact

Voters in battleground states don’t care about the daily WikiLeaks email releases revealing sensitive matters among top Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton campaign aides, according to a Democratic insider.

“I think everybody is talking about it in Washington. I don’t think there are that many people talking about [John] Podesta’s emails in New Hampshire … Florida … North Carolina … Iowa. Those are the states that are going to decide the election,” Tony Podesta, John Podesta’s brother and a lobbyist, said in an interview with The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper.

{mosads}WikiLeaks has been releasing troves of hacked emails from John Podesta, Clinton’s campaign chairman.

But Republican strategist Barry Bennett has a different take — he thinks the emails prove a narrative of Clinton’s cozy relationship with the media and D.C. institutions including the Department of Justice.

“The Justice Department was clearly telling the Clinton campaign everything they were doing in an email litigation case before the judge. … So it feeds into the narrative of corruption going on in Justice Department,” Bennett said in an interview.
